Winery visits and tastings

Discover wine where it is born. We organise visits to Italian wineries and on-site tastings for wine lovers, professionals and small groups from Bulgaria.
Meet the producers and discover the regions, traditions and stories behind every bottle.
Discover Italy’s wine regions
Select a region on the map to explore its leading wines, grape varieties and distinctive characteristics.
Lombardy
From Valtellina’s Alpine terraces to the hills of Franciacorta, Lombardy combines elegant sparkling wines with red wines of mountain freshness.
- Franciacorta DOCG: traditional-method sparkling wine, mainly from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero. Fine bubbles, citrus freshness, white flowers and notes of bread and nuts.
- Valtellina Superiore and Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG: wines from Nebbiolo, locally called Chiavennasca. Red fruit, spices, pronounced acidity and elegant tannins; Sforzato is more concentrated and full-bodied.
- Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG: dry, lively sparkling wine led by Pinot Nero, with good structure and a clean fruit profile.
Piedmont
Piedmont is the land of Nebbiolo and some of Italy’s most age-worthy red wines, while also offering fruity Barbera and delicately aromatic Moscato wines.
- Barolo and Barbaresco DOCG: made from Nebbiolo. High acidity and pronounced tannins, aromas of red fruit, rose and spice, with excellent ageing potential.
- Barbera d’Asti and Barbera d’Alba: juicy fruit character, fresh acidity and softer tannins. Versatile wines suited to a wide range of dishes.
- Moscato d’Asti DOCG: lightly sparkling, sweet and aromatic wine with flowers, peach and sage, usually lower in alcohol.
Tuscany
Tuscan wine is closely linked to Sangiovese, a grape with lively acidity, cherry fruit and distinctive herbal and floral notes.
- Chianti Classico DOCG: fresh, balanced Sangiovese with cherry, violet, dried herbs and firm yet elegant tannins.
- Brunello di Montalcino DOCG: made from Sangiovese, locally called Brunello. Structured, deep and age-worthy, with a complex spicy profile.
- Bolgheri DOC: often blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and other international varieties. Ripe dark fruit, spices, body and a velvety structure.
Veneto
Veneto offers a striking contrast between fresh sparkling wines, concentrated reds from dried grapes and mineral white wines.
- Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG: from Glera, with fine bubbles, apple, pear, white flowers and a refreshing finish.
- Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG: from dried grapes, mainly Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. Full and warming, with dried fruit, ripe cherry and sweet spices.
- Soave Classico DOC: white wine led by Garganega. Citrus, yellow fruit, flowers, mineral freshness and a delicate almond finish.
Trentino-Alto Adige
The Alpine climate and strong day-to-night temperature shifts produce wines with pronounced freshness, pure aromas and precise character.
- Trentodoc: traditional-method sparkling wine, mainly from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero. Fine bubbles, citrus, mountain freshness and delicate toasted notes.
- Alto Adige DOC white wines: Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer show aromatic purity, fresh acidity and a mineral profile.
- Teroldego Rotaliano and Lagrein: distinctive Alpine reds with dark fruit, violet, spices and a fresh, firm structure.
